Beban Kerja dan Dukungan Organisasi terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Dengan Komitmen Organisasi Sebagai Variabel Intervening

This research aims to test and analyze the influence of workload and organizational support on employee performance with organizational commitment as an intervention variable at the Payakumbuh Municipality Education Deparment. This type of research is quantitative research. This sample is all employees of the Payakumbuh City Education Department. The sampling method uses the census method, where all members are used as research samples. This research uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through questionnaires which were delivered directly to all employees of the Payakumbuh City Education Office totaling 55 questionnaires and all respondents returned the questionnaires. Meanwhile, secondary data is obtained from existing sources. The data was processed by analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the SmartPLS4 application. The research results show that workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, organizational support has a negative but significant effect on employee performance. Workload has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and organizational support has a positive but not significant effect on organizational commitment. Furthermore, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on performance. Then the workload variable has a positive and significant effect on performance through organizational commitment, but the organizational support variable has a negative and insignificant effect on performance through organizational commitment.
